Nerd Mentality is a non-profit game lounge coming to LaGrande, Oregon, in July 2026. It will be a space where nerds can come together to enjoy what they love as a community. Not only do we have a facility with everything any nerd could desire for their hobbies, we will also be hosting events all year long across all fandoms and interests. In an age of digital connection, we are trying to bring back face-to-face connection.

Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of nerds while cultivating a vibrant and welcoming community.
Nerds are passionate people and true joy is in the sharing of what you love with like-minded people. We at Nerd Mentality saw a need in our community for a space where these people can find others like themselves and reconnect over shared hobbies. While Nerd Mentality is a place for everyone, our passion is in creating a safe place where our youth can meet and find other kids who like the same things they do and make connections that can last a lifetime.

Meet the crew
Alix, Cody, and Mike are three friends who share a love of games, comics, and all things nerdy. Finding a need in their community for a place to get together and share their hobbies, the idea of Nerd Mentality was born.
They have worked on Nerd Mentality for 5 years. They became a 501c-3 non-profit in 2023, and in 2026 were lucky enough to find a building in Riveria. They are pround to have the chance to add to the legacy of such a historic building and they hope to be in for years to come.

Our goal is to provide something for every nerd. Here are some things we provide.
A TTRPG library with premium game accessories.
A comic book library featuring milestone graphic novels and manga.
Over 300 board games, with a goal of reaching over 1000.
Everything needed for war gaming.
Open tables for drop in games.
Learn to play trading card decks.
Video game stations spanning generations.
A digital community to connect and plan for in person meet ups.
And so much more.
